Koh Mak Villa Overview
The Koh Mak Villa is built on the highest rise of the otherwise flat, beautiful island Ko Mak, directly above the Suan Yai Beach at Ko Maks west coast. This dream beach is just a few hundred metres away and can be reached with a short walk. The Khao Beach at the south coast of Ko Mak is also only a few hundred metres away.
Perched at the top of the hill between Ao Suan Yai beach and Ao Kao beach is Koh Mak Villa, a beautiful resort house made up of two separate buildings. Rooms can be rented individually or as an entire house made up of two downstairs rooms and one upstairs. Those downstairs are simple yet good quality, with an ensuite bathroom attached. Upstairs rooms are bigger and have a glorious panoramic view out over Ao Suan Yai and onto Ko Kham. A small bar/cafe downstairs serves a limited menu, while there is wireless internet, motorbike and mountain bike rental. The well-tended garden provides a relaxing environment to absorb the coconut palm-dotted view. The location allows guest access to both main beaches and customers are permitted to use the pool in the nearby Goodtime Resort. Prices are a little steep, particularly considering the standard rooms come only with fan.
