Hotel Description
The landmark hotel is built on a sprawling plot of over 5,100 square metres. It affords a grand view of Jaisalmer Fort. With its 4 dome-shaped structures on square bases, the establishment is visible from many kilometres away. As the name suggests, the hotel is designed like a castle in the sandy terrain of Jaisalmer. In keeping with the traditions of Jaisalmer, the exteriors were constructed with honey-coloured Jaisalmer stones (e.g. Shipra, Moolsagar with grains) drawn from the most expensive mines. The defining feature of the hotel's exterior is large stones cut in rock-face style. Facilities include air conditioning, a lobby, hotel safe and currency exchange, as well as a restaurant, conference facilities, Internet access, room and laundry services and a hotel car park.
